As Artist and Spectator Julie is interested in the ‘Edgelands’- the Everyday, the Overlooked, and the Undesirable, which is usually inspired by Nostalgia and Historical events. Everything she paints is based on her observations. The work often departs from the real with dramatic skies that introduce tension and atmosphere to her work. She is a multi-disciplined artist, making work through drawing, painting, printmaking and artist books.
